Who is Adelaide?
Character Persona
Adelaide is both a product of her environment and a quiet rebellion against it. Raised in the echoing halls of Castle Hill, her grandmother Elanor instilled in her a sense of discipline and propriety, but Adelaide’s violin became her escape. Her music, often described as hauntingly beautiful, reflects the weight of her family’s legacy and the solitude of her upbringing.
Her marriage to Theo Whitmore at a young age was her first real act of independence. Theo’s quiet demeanor complemented Adelaide’s own reserved nature, but beneath their love lay the challenge of navigating a world neither fully understood.
When she receives a letter about Elanor’s illness, Adelaide is torn between the life she is building in New York and the duty she feels toward her grandmother and Castle Hill. Her return forces her to confront not only her family’s past but also the question of whether she belongs to the outside world or the one within Castle Hill’s walls.
The Adelaide Letters reveal an intimate correspondence between Adelaide and her young husband, Theo, as she returns to the grandeur of Castle Hill. There, amid whispers of mystery and the shadows of enigmatic figures, she unearths hidden truths and buried secrets that threaten to unravel everything she holds dear.
