What are The Birdsong Letters?

The Birdsong Letters are a subscription-based story told through 24 letters sent over six months. Each week, you’ll receive four letters filled with character correspondence, postcards, newspaper clippings, and other items that bring the story to life. It’s an immersive and unique storytelling experience delivered right to your mailbox.

What is The Birdsong Letters Club and how do I join?

We’d love for you to join our growing community of creative women! The Birdsong Letters Club is a space to discuss letters, explore characters, and connect about other creative topics, like the books you’re reading, your garden, favorite recipes, and more. Learn more and join here.

How much do the stories cost?

Monthly subscriptions are $24 per month (6 payments total).
Prepaid stories are $119 (pay once, save $25 by prepaying).
*24 letters delivered over 6 months with either method of payment (one letter weekly).
Postage is FREE in the US.
International postage $34 total for 6 months, prepaid orders only.
There are no duty fees.
Prices are in US dollars, please be sure to calculate the currency in your country.

Does my subscription auto-renew?

No! One story consists of 24 letters. If you choose monthly payments, your subscription will end after the 6th and final payment. Pre-paid subscriptions do not auto-renew. After that, you can choose another story.

Which story should I choose?

You can begin with any Castle Hill Collection, but we recommend starting with The Adelaide Letters from the Castle Hill – Crane Family Letters Collection for the best experience, as it sets the stage for a multigenerational tale of family secrets.

Then, unlock The Hidden Diaries Series by first reading any story from the Castle Hill Collection. Continue exploring the mysteries of the Crane women as their stories unfold in locations like the French Quarter, Castle Hill, and beyond. Discover the secrets hidden within the enigmatic letters of Mr. Sterling and Lila Labauve.

*Once you finish a story, you don’t have to purchase the next—but we think you’ll want to.

Can I select a future mailing date for my letters?

On prepaid letters, yes. On monthly subscriptions, not at this time.

Are your stories family-friendly?

There’s nothing inappropriate in the letters, but stories are intended for adults and young adults—think PG-13. *The Elanor Crane Letters contain some strong themes.

How do I order and what address do I use?

Select a Story—prepaid or monthly—and add it to your cart.

I’m missing a letter. How do I get a replacement?

If you happen to miss a letter at no fault of your own, don’t worry—we’ll happily resend it for FREE! Just let us know, and we’ll take care of it. *Please wait to notify two weeks for U.S orders and 4 weeks international, just in case there is a carrier delay. To keep the story flowing seamlessly, we recommend holding off on reading any other letters until the missing one arrives. That way, you can fully enjoy the narrative in the intended order.

I need to change my order.

Please contact birdsongletters@gmail.com with the following information and allow 1-3 days for us to respond.

An order # or email you ordered with:

  • Name of the recipient
  • Story collection
  • Delivery Address
  • Requested change
How do I return my order and get a refund?

Our customers’ happiness and satisfaction are our top priorities. If you’re ever dissatisfied, please let us know—we’re here to help!

We’re confident you will love your story subscription. If for whatever reason you don’t, please let us know after the first two letters for a FULL REFUND, and we will cancel your monthly one-time story subscription or issue refund for your full one-time payment (depending on the option you chose at checkout). 

Please keep the first two letters and all their contents; these do not have to be returned to us.

Will I receive a tracking number?

Since letters are sent via USPS, tracking numbers are not available. 

We recommend signing up for USPS Informed Delivery, a FREE service that emails you scanned images of incoming mail. Click here to sign up.

How do I change my address?

If you’re moving, please notify us directly at birdsongletters@gmail.com. Address changes made through your post office will not automatically update with us.

If a letter isn’t delivered due to an incorrect or outdated address provided by the customer, we’ll resend one letter for FREE. Additional resends are $5 per letter (US) or $7 per letter (international). Please see full policy here.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to any country listed on the USPS current index of countries and localities, which you can find here.
